Hi! My name is Heather, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. My specific areas of interest include working with individuals of all ages to resolve and work through single episodes of trauma or complex trauma. I provide outpatient psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults who have been impacted by abuse, neglect, and trauma.

My passion is working with individuals to repair injuries to the thoughts, heart, and soul of a person following experiences that impact their ability to be their best selves. Through work with cognitions, emotions, and the body of an individual they are able to restore their sense of self and honor their true being. I hold space in my office that allows and encourages each person to be their genuine authentic self.

I am currently a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology and Somatic Psychology at Meridian University. I am a graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato with a Master of Science in Community Counseling with specialized training in Marriage and Family Therapy and Play Therapy. I also hold a Bachelor of Science degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato, in Psychology.

I earned my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Somatic Psychology from Meridian University. Along with a multitude of additional trainings and techniques to deepen my work with clients. I completed the Permanency and Adoption Competency Certificate in June 2017 to better serve families through the adoption process and the loss that surrounds adoption changes and transitions.

I also a provide trainings and supervision/consultation services to other therapists seeking licensure or certification in Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (LPC/LPCC) and/or Play Therapy.
