Therapy Services

At Journeys Toward Healing Counseling Center clients and their families play an active role in the therapeutic process. Treatment typically begins with a thorough diagnostic assessment to determine presenting difficulties, including contributions of trauma, temperament, biology, and other factors to each client's presenting concerns to help the mental health professionals gain a complete picture of each client's strengths, resources, and area of need.

Based on this assessment, and in close collaboration with the client, our mental health professionals develop an individualized treatment plan. An integrative approach to treatment will be utilized that draws on psycho-dynamic, cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal/relational, experiential, family systems, and other clinical frameworks. The mental health professionals use a variety of approaches to psychotherapy, including individual, family, and will tailor their discipline and/or make appropriate referrals dependent on your needs and particular areas you would like to address. In addition, JTHCC offers a variety of therapy methods that have been shown to be the most effective with child, adolescent, teen, adult, and family challenges.
